PAST PERFORMANCE: HARLEY-DAVIDSON'S 100TH ANNIVERSARY
Thousands of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts decended upon Milwaukee for the Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary in 2003. The Greater Milwaukee area lacked the hotel rooms to accommodate all the visitors, and sought the resources of Target Logistics for help.
For both the 95th, and again for the 100th Anniversary, Target Logistics constructed a temporary city, called Riders Ranch, which slept over 9,000 people and entertained over 25,000 throughout the week. Target leased a 184-acre county fairground, and installed roads, electricity, running water, showers, toilets, laundromats, stores, restaurants, nightclubs, a movie theater, live stages - even a hospital - and then returned it all to its exact former state when the party was over.
